Biography
Mikhail Derzhavin was born on June 15, 1936 in Moscow . Father - People's Artist of the RSFSR, one of the leading actors of the E.B. Vakhtangov Theater Mikhail Stepanovich Derzhavin (Zakharov) (07.25.1903-30.7.1951). Mother - Iraida Ivanovna Derzhavina (24.1.1916–31.12.2000) [2] . Mikhail Derzhavin grew up in a house on Vakhtangov Street , in which actors, artists and musicians lived, in the nearby entrance was the Shchukin Theater School . All the children living in this house did not imagine a world other than a theater. All children's games centered around improvised theatrical stages: children set up fairy tales, invented sets, distributed roles and were themselves both actors and spectators.
Famous Vakhtangians often visited the Derzhavins' apartment: Ruben Simonov , Victor Koltsov , Anatoly Goryunov , Nikolai Okhlopkov , Andrey Abrikosov .
After the start of World War II, the Theater named after E. B. Vakhtangov , in which Mikhail Stepanovich Derzhavin served, was evacuated from Moscow to Omsk . In the evacuation, Misha attended all the performances of his father, but he especially liked “Field Marshal Kutuzov”. At the age of five, he memorized the monologue of M.I. Kutuzov , read it in the hospital before the wounded.
