Content
Biography
In 1924–1929 she studied at the Tbilisi Academy of Arts , where N. P. Kandelaki , E. E. Lancere and Ya. I. Nikoladze taught at that time. In the field of theatrical-decorative painting she began to work under the direction of KA Marjanishvili . In the period from 1932 to 1934 artist Kutaisi Theater named Lado Meshishvili . Member of the CPSU since 1942.
Buried in the Didube pantheon in Tbilisi .
The street in Tbilisi is named after Tamara Abakelia.
Awards
Honored Artist of the Georgian SSR (1942). Awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor .
