“Obstacle 1” is a song by the American post-punk band Interpol from her debut album Turn on the Bright Lights . The song was released as a single on November 11, 2002 by Matador Records [6] . In 2003, on September 15, a single reissue was released, mixed by Arthur Baker [7] . In addition to the Obstacle track itself, various single editions contain additional songs, such as Arthur Baker's remixes and Interpol live performances as part of Peel Sessions ( BBC Radio 1 ), Morning Becomes Eclectic ( KCRW ) and The Black Sessions radio broadcasts ( Radio France ) (the latter were also released on the Interpol The Black EP mini album).

In the UK charts UK Singles Chart "Obstacle 1" took 72nd place, the lowest among all singles of the Interpol group [8] . The song "Obstacle 1" was included in the music computer game Guitar Hero World Tour . The cover version of the song was included in the Reproductions album by American singer Charlotte Martin .
For the song "Obstacle 1" a music video was directed by Floria Sigismondi [6] .
