Maccabi is a Russian amateur football club from Moscow . Performs in the championship of Russia among LFK , group "A" MRO Center Moscow. It was founded in February 2003 , the initiator of the club was a businessman, vice president of the Jewish community of Moscow, Pavel Feldblum . [1] [2] In 2004, the team won the Interethnic Football League Championship, in which teams representing the national diasporas and communities of Moscow take part. [3] In the final, “Ararat” was defeated with a score of 5: 4.

In 2005, the Maccabi team appeared on the basis of the Hammer and Sickle Club, participating in the Russian football championship among amateur football clubs . [1] In 2007, the club took part in the Cup of Russia 2007-2008 .

History
FC Maccabi Moscow was founded in February 2003 [4] . The initiator of the creation was businessman Pavel Feldblum . The team’s leadership also included the Israeli Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Arkadi Mil-Man, television and radio presenter Vladimir Solovyov , Olympic champion, figure skater Ilya Averbukh and others.
The first training took place at the Luzhniki Grand Sports Arena . Spartak Gennady Logofet took charge of the training process. At the beginning of 2004, Maccabi took part in his first official tournament - the Stark Cup and received the first ever award - the Audience Choice Award. Subsequently, participation in both the Stark Cup and many other competitions and friendly matches became regular. In the same year, Maccabi took part in the Championship of the International Football League and won the Championship title.
In the same year, on the eve of Hanukkah, FC Maccabi held a futsal cup among Jewish schools in Moscow. The delegate from the World Maccabi Union took part in the opening ceremony of the competition, who brought a symbolic fire lit on the grave of the Maccabee brothers .
In 2005, along with the amateur team, the Maccabi team appeared, participating in the Russian football championship among LFK (3 division) . The team won the title of vice champion in their group. The amateur team, in addition to participating in the Interethnic Football League championship, Cup and Super Cup, took part in the Starostin Brothers Futsal Cup, where it won first place.
