Purpose
The parade ground in the military town, on the service side, serves as the venue for the following events:
- Carrying out drill training of personnel of a military unit ;
- Carrying out drill review. Drill drill is the main type of verification of combat readiness of personnel, verification of the presence and condition of personnel and standard weapons;
- Conducting part of physical training (a set of floor exercises for military personnel);
- Carrying out internal measures for the operation of the military unit: divorce (general construction of personnel), divorce of personnel before meals, divorce of the squad (construction and verification of the daily outfit of the guard on duty, as well as the guard);
- Holding ceremonies and parades.
Ways to move through the parade ground:
- Running, marching, as part of groups during a solemn march.
On the territory of cities where parade ground existed, garrison events were held:

- guard of honor;
- and so on.
