Hull Highway (platform)

Korpusnoye Shosse is a former railway stop platform within the boundaries of St. Petersburg on the former line of the Warsaw Station near the Moscow Gate . The first train stop after the station. After the station was closed, passenger traffic along this line was stopped on May 15, 2001. The station is named for Korpusnoy highway , which was walking along the highway of the current Novoizmaylovsky Prospect (the highway is named for the gardens of the Guards Corps ). Before the reconstruction of the Warsaw direction in the 1960s, the platform was called the “4th kilometer” [1] .

The main part of the tracks was dismantled in 2012 [2] , and later the platform [3] was destroyed. Three tracks passed along the platform: two for freight trains and one for passenger trains. The main routes led south along the Warsaw line to the former Sanitary Station (then it became an industrial station on the territory of the western production site of the Electrosila plant, then it was eliminated during the construction of shopping centers there).

Until 2017, the former platform maintained its path to the Tsvetochnaya station of the former Putilov branch , which was used to transport exhibits of the Oktyabrskaya Railway Museum from the former station to the new museum building near the Baltic Station [4] .

In mid-2017, the exhibits were taken out, the museum opened on October 30. The path to the former station was dismantled, along with it, work began on the restoration and continuation of Warsaw Street to the north to the Obvodny Canal .
