Lygotkhsky rural district is an administrative-territorial unit in the Lazarevsky district of the city of Sochi (the municipality of the resort town of Sochi ) in the Krasnodar Territory .

The district unites the rural settlements of the district, located outside the city limits in the basins of the Ashe , Makops and Kuaps rivers.
The administrative center is the village of Kalezh .
Content
Geographical position
The administrative-territorial unit is located in the northwestern part of the Lazarevsky district of the resort city of Sochi . It is the northernmost district of the district and the city as a whole.
The settlement consists of five settlements [2] . The rural district is the largest administrative unit of the Lazarevsky district.
It borders on the lands of municipalities: Shepsinsky rural settlement in the northwest, Georgievsky rural settlement in the north and Kirovsky rural district in the southeast, as well as urban micro-districts of Sochi in the west.
The rural district is located in the foothills and mountains of Greater Sochi . The terrain is mostly mountainous terrain with dense forest cover, rising from west to east. Average altitudes are about 775 meters above sea level. In the upper reaches of the Ashe River there is the highest point of the rural district - Mount Berkish (1671 m).
The hydrographic network is represented by the basins of the rivers Ashe , Makopse , Shuyuk , Kuapse , etc. Also, the area is rich in fresh and mineral springs.
The climate in the district is mostly subtropical, and is characterized by warm summers and cool, little snowy winters. With distance from the sea, the continental climate rises. The average annual air temperature is about + 14 ° C and ranges from average + 5 ° C in January to + 23 ° C in July. The average rainfall per year is about 1250 mm. Depending on the northern slope of the Main Caucasian Range, on the southern slope the main amount of precipitation falls in the winter.
History
After the abolition of the Lazarevsky District of the Krasnodar Territory on February 10, 1961, by the decision of the CEC of April 7, 1961, the Krasnoyarsandrovsky Village Council (consisting of the villages of Nadzhigo , 1st Krasnoyaleksandrovsky , 2nd Krasnoyaleksandrovsky and 3rd Krasnoyaleksandrovsky ) was reassigned to the Lazarevsky District of Sochi 3] . From December 7, 1962 to December 30, 1964, the Krasnoyaleksandrovsky Village Council was listed as part of the Tuapse District of the Krasnodar Territory [3] . Then returned to submission to the Lazarevsky district of Sochi [3] . At the same time, the village of Mamedova Shchel , located in the Kuapse River Valley, was also included in the village council .
In 1992, the Krasnoaleksandrovsky rural council was reorganized and renamed the Lygotkhsky rural district.
The modern borders of the Lygotkh rural district are established according to the law of 1995 .

Economics
The main role in the economy of the rural district is played by agriculture and tourism.
There are many horticultural farms growing various subtropical fruit crops in the rural district. Viticulture and beekeeping were also greatly developed. Tea plantations are laid out in the Ashe Valley.
In the field of tourism, various tourist routes leading from the coast to the Main Caucasian Range were most developed. In the upper reaches of the rivers there are various waterfalls and rapids, attracting the attention of tourists.
Frequently visited objects also include preserved ancient dolmens and ethnographic museums located in Circassian villages.
