GRASS ( English Geographic Resources Analysis Support System - a system for processing spatial information; the abbreviation is the English word grass - grass) - open source software for building geographic information systems . Supports a large number of data formats. History

GRASS has been developed since 1982 with the participation of the US government, research institutes and companies.

Implementation Features

This software (software) is built on the principle of modularity and integrates many different modules that solve problems from visualization to import / export to various data formats.
