A report or report is one of the types of monologue speech, public, detailed, official communication on a specific issue, based on the involvement of documentary data; a message or document whose contents represent information and reflects the essence of the issue or study in relation to a given situation. Often consists of information about a business case sent to management or a senior official .
- The purpose of the report is to inform someone about something. However, reports may include recommendations, suggestions, or other motivational elements .
- The report often has the structure of scientific research: introduction, methods, results and discussion.
In military affairs, a short report is called a report (from French rapport ) - an official oral or written report from a lower to a higher one. The report may contain a report on the work done or an appeal to the authorities on any issue.

Basic Information
In Old Russian law, a report meant the act of presenting all kinds of cases and questions to the resolution of the highest authority [1] . The report was one of the most significant types of restrictions on the power of nurses during the dominance of the feeding system . According to the first Sudebnik, the feeding men “without a boyar court” could not give fluent and vacation letters without a report , give a serf to the sovereign (that is, the master, master), sell, execute or release a dashing person . In the Moscow period of Russia, all legislative measures or certain dubious incidents were sent to the sovereign with a thought, through appropriate orders .
Types and Formats
Reports and reports may be oral or written. The format of the report can be either simple, with headings by topics, or more complex - it can include: charts, tables, figures, photographs, abstracts , resumes , applications, footnotes , links, hyperlinks .

Report - an extended written or oral communication based on a combination of previously published research, scientific and experimental design work or developments in the relevant field of scientific knowledge of great importance for the theory of science and practical application, is a generalized summary of the results of research, experiments and developments, known to a wide range of specialists in the field of scientific knowledge.
In the literature
Literary report - a message based on a literary work containing quotes and excerpts from the text.
