Richard Andre ( German: Richard Andree ; February 26, 1835 , Braunschweig - February 22, 1912 , near Munich ) is a German geographer and ethnographer.

Father - Karl Andre , also a geographer.
Studied in Leipzig . He worked in Bohemia at the mine as a miner and took an ardent part in national feuds between Germans and Czechs.
Andre's books are full of impressions of this era:
- Tchechische Gänge (1872);
- Nationalitätsverhältnisse und Sprachgrenze in Böhmen (2nd ed., Lpc., 1870);
- "Das Sprachgebiet der Lausitzer Wenden" (with ethnographic map, Prague, 1873)
- "Wendische Wanderstudien" (Stuttg., 1873).
Having traveled around Scotland , Andre wrote Vom Tweed zur Pentlandföhrde (Jena, 1866).
