Kuyash is a lake in the Chelyabinsk region of Russia . Located west of the M36 federal highway.

It has a rounded shape. In the east, a drying stream flows into the lake, originating in a swamp east of the highway. There are no outflowing rivers. Surface Area - 12.5 km². The catchment area is 13.8 km². Altitude - 219 m.
Three settlements are located on the shores of the lake: Big Kuyash , Small Kuyash and the village of Golubinka .
In the vicinity of the lake there are many other bodies of water, the closest: Lake Bolshye Kirpichniki , Lake Kirmyskaly , Lake Terenkul .
The name, possibly, comes from the Tatar and Bashkir word koyash ( ҡoyash ) - “sun”.
