Volkov, Andrey Viktorovich (artist)

Volkov Andrey was born in Moscow. In 1955 he went to the first grade of school number 310. Several times he was at the American Industrial Exhibition American_National_Exhibition 1959 in Sokolniki, saw the dome of Fuller . He graduated from school in 1966 and entered the Stroganov School . 1966-71. In Stroganovka he met Bykov Z. N. went to a lecture by Ludwig G. M. learned about vhutemasa , about the Bauhaus , about the creators of the avant-garde 1966-71. In 1971 he began to show work at youth exhibitions. Since 1973, participant in all-Union exhibitions. B 1976 - 1978 was a scholarship holder of the Union of Artists of the USSR / hands. Mochalsky D.K. In 1979 he was admitted to the Moscow branch of the Union of Artists of the USSR - a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR . During these years, he received the support of the leading masters of his time, Zhilinsky D. D. , Salakhova T. T. , Obrosova I. P., Komova O. K. , Chernova Yu. L. In 1980, together with Petrov A. N., he showed work in editorial staff of the magazine "Youth" / exhibition "two in one sweater" /. He participated in 1980 in the exhibition “INTERIOR in the works of Russian and Soviet artists of the XIV-XX centuries” at the State Tretyakov Gallery - State Tretyakov Gallery. Presented in the collection of the Institute of Russian Realistic Art - IRRI. Since 1980 he has been represented at the State Tretyakov Gallery. Since the late 70's, participated in all major exhibitions of the USSR Union of Artists. He traveled on creative trips to Asia, Africa, America.

He taught abstract painting at the Stroganovka , Department of Design (2004-2008); taught abstract painting at the Moscow Architectural Institute , Department of Design (2011-2012) .
