The author of more than 150 scientific papers on geography, geochronology and paleogeography. Co-author of the rock dating methodology - RTL geochronology. Member of numerous expeditions to the USSR and Russia.
Since 1981 - member of the CPSU . He was elected secretary of the party committee of the geographical faculty of Moscow State University, a member of the party committee of Moscow State University (the secretary of the party committee was Ivan Melnikov ), a member of the Lenin CPSU District Committee ( 1989 - 1991 ).
