The UNESCO World Heritage List in the Republic of Poland lists 15 items (for 2017 ), which is 1.3% of the total (1121 for 2019). 14 objects are included in the list according to cultural criteria, and 3 of them are recognized as masterpieces of human genius ( criterion i), and the other remaining object is included according to natural criteria, and it is recognized as a natural phenomenon of exceptional beauty and aesthetic importance (criterion vii). In addition, as of 2017, 5 objects in Poland are among the candidates for inclusion in the World Heritage List [1] . The Polish People's Republic ratified the Convention for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage on June 29, 1976 [2] . The first two properties located in Poland were listed in 1978 at the 2nd session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee .
