Fenoflavin

Phenoflavin is a yellow azo pigment obtained by the interaction of diazoamidobenzenesulfonic acid and amidosulfophenolic acid. It is a yellow powder , readily soluble in water . It is used for dyeing wool and silk in an acid bath, and golden-yellow shades of color are obtained that are not very strong in relation to light and soap .
