List of World Heritage Sites in Austria

In the list of the UNESKO World Heritage in Austria there are 10 titles (as of July 2019 ), this is 0.8% of the total number (1121 for 2019). 9 objects are included in the list by cultural criteria, and 1 of them is recognized as a masterpiece of human genius ( criterion i) and 1 - by natural. In addition, as of July 2019, 12 sites in Austria are among the candidates for inclusion in the World Heritage List [1] . The Republic of Austria ratified the Convention for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage on December 18, 1992 [2] . The first two sites located in Austria were listed in 1996 at the 20th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee .
