Zebedee is a simple program for establishing a compression-encrypted tunnel for transmitting data via TCP / IP and UDP protocols between two systems. Thus, it is possible to transmit, for example, telnet , FTP and HTTP traffic, protected from interception, as well as with the possibility of increasing network bandwidth using compression of the transmitted data using zlib or bzip2 .

Main objectives
- Providing full functionality of the client and server parts under UNIX , GNU / Linux and Microsoft Windows ;
- Ease of installation, use and small requirements or lack thereof to configure;
- Small size of signatures, headers and traffic reduction using data compression;
- Using only non-proprietary algorithms , or algorithms that expire patents;
- Complete freedom for commercial and non-commercial use, distribution under the GNU General Public License .
