From the 5th-7th grade, the division of mathematics training into algebra and geometry begins, which in turn is divided into planimetry and stereometry . At lessons, tasks with modules , formulas of abbreviated multiplication are studied.
In high school in Russia, elements of analysis and the theory of elementary functions are given , in particular, a study of functions is carried out . Since the 1970s, the influence of the ideas of the penetration of "modern mathematics" into the school has been growing.
