It is a yellow dwarf of spectral class G7 with a mass almost the same as the mass of the Sun.

Planet System
CoRoT-2 b is the second exoplanet candidate discovered by the COROT French orbital telescope in December 2007 . The discovery was made by the transit method. The planet is a class of large hot Jupiters (its temperature is about 1500 Kelvin ).
