Here is an excerpt from a poem by Yuri Inge about Vasya Alekseev:

It rang so that it is not otherwise -
Lights will not light.
We pass the street Stachek,
Feeling youth sharper.
Old friend, trusted friend!
You have lost the habit of these streets
You don’t know what days of conflagration
The artisans' blood flowed here.
Today, perhaps, at the outpost
We will say goodbye; and another route
I will leave it in my memory for a long time
Your voice hoarse in the wind.
But for now, without saying goodbye
Our meeting, the night is still blooming, -
In the lanes of the Nevsky district
Stop the turn of time.

...

There are not many ... But dispelling their ashes,
The wind freezes in the morning ...
Do not stretch Vasya Alekseev
Fingers numb to the fire.

As the battle raises alarm,
We will go straight into the heat.
An example for us is Vasya Alekseev,
Young proletarian, Bolshevik!
