Vireonovye [1] ( lat. Vireonidae ) - a family of birds from the order Passeriformes .

Description
Small (10-18 cm long) shrubby and forest birds, but with strong legs and a strong beak. The color of the plumage is mainly greenish brown above and yellowish or white below. There is no sexual dimorphism. In appearance, some species resemble warblers, others - shrikes. They feed mainly on insects, some on fruits. Hanging cup-shaped nests are built on horizontal branches. In clutch 2-5 eggs.
The Vireonovs are part of the New World passerine group; they have 10 primary fly-birds (9 of all Old World passerines). Vireonic prevail mainly in North and Central America. A lot of them on the islands of the West Indies.
