Laurel Hurley ( born Laurel Hurley ; born February 14, 1927 , Allentown , PA ) is an American singer ( soprano ).
She learned to sing with her mother and in a city school. She made her debut on Broadway in 1943, playing the role of Katie in the operetta of Sigmund Romberg's "Prince Student". In 1951, she won the Naumburg Competition for Young Performers .
In 1955 - 1967 she performed on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera , especially often in the role of Zerlina in Don Giovanni . In 1958, starred in the title role in the musical film "Pericola".
