Features

DX Cancer belongs to the class of dim and relatively cold stars - red dwarfs . Has a mass of less than 9% of the mass of the sun . Although it is quite close to us, it is impossible to see with the naked eye. The first to determine the star’s own motion was most likely Willem Leiten (1899-1994), who compiled a catalog of more than 250,000 stars. The closest neighbor of DX Cancer is the star Procyon (5.0 St. of the year).

No planetary objects have yet been detected in the DX Cancer system. According to calculations, the habitable zone in the system (where the temperature conditions on the planet are similar to Earth) will be at a distance of 0.04 AU from the star.
