Content
History
The district was formed on December 23, 1964 under the name of Suvorov district , the center is Suvorovo village . The district included a little more than half of the Kaushansky district (its southeast part).
From 21.12. In 1991, following the renaming of the district center, the district was also renamed Stefan Voda .
From 1999 to 2002 , as part of the ongoing administrative reform, the district was part of Bendery County . After the abolition of county division, the district again became an independent administrative unit.
Geography
Stefan-Vodsky district is located in the eastern part of Moldova near the border with Ukraine .

- Through the easternmost point of the Republic of Palanka, there passes a section of the shortest highway from the southern part of the Odessa region of Ukraine to the north, which became the property of Ukraine on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, in exchange for a plot on the bank of the Danube in Giurgiulesti .
