Larrea is a three-toothed , or creosote bush ( lat.Larrea tridentata ) - a shrub , a species of the genus Larrea ( Larrea ) of the family leaf-leaved ( Zygophyllaceae ).

It grows in the deserts of Mojave , Sonora and Chihuahua in the southwestern states of the USA and northern states of Mexico . A closely related species of Larrea divaricata is found in the southern hemisphere .
Three-toothed larrey has an extremely deep root system , reaching a depth of 100 m. The height of the plant is 1-3 m.
In the center of the Mojave Desert , King Clone grows - a clonal plant colony of about 11,700 years old [3] [4] .
