Biography
She studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory Svelinka with Davina van Wely and in Salzburg Mozarteum with Sandor Vega . In 1984 , she won the Eurovision Song Contest in Geneva. In 1997 - 2006 She was the artistic director of the Delft Chamber Music Festival. Since 2009 , he shares with Terrier Tönnesen the leadership of the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra .
Concert activity
She performed with the largest orchestras in Europe and the USA under the direction of N. Marriner , R. Norrington , O. Vyanskia , V. Gergiev and other major conductors. She performed with Leif Ove Andsnes , Hokan Hardenberger , Thomas Ades , Gidon Kremer .
Repertoire
Mostly performs modern music ( Shostakovich , Messian , Martin , Lutoslavsky , Pettersson , Schnittke , Gubaidulina , Tuyur ), but also recorded works by Haydn , Mozart , Grieg , Sibelius .
