Foolish

Polazna is the largest village in the Dobryansky district of the Perm Territory ( Russia ). Located on the banks of the Kama reservoir at the confluence of the Polazna River, 45 km from Perm and 25 km south of Dobryanka . The population is more than 13 thousand people. The village has 15 residential districts and 72 streets with a total length of more than 85 km [2] .

Holy Trinity Orthodox Church

Climbing is first mentioned in 1623-1624 as a settlement at the mouth of the Polaznaya River with 4 courtyards: " Nazarov’s yard, yes Stepanov’s yard, and two courtyards of the Syropyatovs, and there are 14 souls in them of both sexes ."

In 1794, three miles from the village, I.L. Lazarev founded an iron foundry and ironworks.

In 1923, the plant was temporarily closed, since 1924 only the production of cast iron utensils was resumed, and in 1927 the plant was finally liquidated. In 1954, the territory of the plant was flooded during the construction of the Kama hydroelectric station .

In 1949, industrial development of oil began in Polazna. In 1955, the first million tons of oil was produced; by 1974, 100 million had already been produced.

The status of an urban-type settlement has been since 1958 .

In 1996, a bridge was built across the Chusovaya River, connecting Polazna with the regional center.

Education and Culture

In Polazna, two secondary schools (in which more than 2 thousand students are studying), 4 kindergartens, an art school, a music school,MAOU "MUK" School of technical reserve "".

The Polaznensky choir, founded in 1951, in 1971 received the title of “People's Team”. Since 1985, the choir of labor veterans has been operating at the Palace of Culture. The folklore ensemble “Gornitsa” and the choreographic ensemble “Centipede” are awarded with diplomas of various reviews of amateur groups.

In the village there is a Palace of Culture and Sports, a medical and sports complex, a swimming pool.
