Fish Creek / Lacombe (Sea Train)

Fish Creek-Lacombe is a station on the south line (route 201) of the C-Train light rail system in Calgary , Alberta, Canada . Located just on the right side of light rail (near CPR ROW), 14.2 km south of City Hall Interlocking, west of MacLeod Trail and north of James McKevitt Road.

It was one of two stations opened on October 9, 2001 as part of the first phase of the expansion of the southern branch of light rail transport. On June 27, 2004, the south branch ended at this station. When developing the station, the design of the former Midnapore railway station was taken into account, which was taken as a working model as part of the Calgary light rail transit system and is currently the only station constructed in this way.

The station is served by Fish Creek Provincial Park , University College St. Mary, as well as the suburbs of Midnapore , Shawnee Slopes and Millrise . The station has a central loading platform with free access from both ends. The northern edge of the platform is connected by a ticket pavilion and a bus stop. The southern edge of the platform is connected to a parking lot, as well as a pedestrian overpass providing access to the University College of St. Mary and Fish Creek Provincial Park. There is also a large parking lot for 1130 cars.

The station platform was built with a length of 3 cars with the possibility of simple expansion to the length of 4 cars, which may be required in the future. On July 16, 2012, work began on expanding the southern direction of the platform, and the new platform and track crossing were completed on December 15, 2012.

As of 2005, the registered average passenger flow was 6,200 passengers on a weekday, ^[1] by 2007, the flow increased to 7,600 passengers on a weekday. ^[2]
