Biography
Born in Odessa; grandson of the architect A.K. Krasovsky . He received his secondary education at the 1st Moscow Classical Gymnasium, the highest at the Institute of Civil Engineers of Emperor Nicholas I.
Having served in the Life Guards of the Jaeger Regiment , in 1900 he entered the Institute of Civil Engineers as a junior assistant inspector.
In 1903, he was appointed the head of architectural drawing in the same place, in 1910, he was appointed a teacher of architectural orders and the history of architecture, and in the autumn of 1913 he was appointed senior assistant inspector of the same institute.
Twice he was sent abroad; the first time to study the monuments of Etruria , and the second time to study the monuments of church Byzantine architecture.
Engaged in practical construction activities, he worked on the study of monuments of Russian art, mainly from the pre-Petrine era.
In 1909 he was awarded the half prize by Countess P. S. Uvarova , who was appointed for an essay on the subject of Moscow architecture on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the death of Count A. S. Uvarov .
In 1913 he was awarded the Order of St. Anne of the 2nd degree. In 1916 he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 4th degree.
In Soviet times, he was engaged in the design of industrial buildings.
