Baruch ben Jona Jaitteles ( German: Baruch ben Jona Jeitteles , aka Benedikt Jaitteles , German: Benedikt Jeitteles ; April 22, 1762 , Prague - December 18, 1813 , ibid.) - Jewish writer and public figure, one of the first maskilim leaders.

Biography
The son of Yona Yaitteles , the brother of Judah Yaitteles , the father of Ignaz Yaitteles . Apprentice of Rabbi Yehezkel Landau , Chief Rabbi of Prague. Although Rabbi Landau was an orthodox rabbi, Baruch in adulthood became a follower of Moses Mendelssohn and his circle. Baruch was created Yeshiva in the spirit of Askala in Prague. After the battles of Kulm and Dresden, when public hospitals were crowded, he created several private hospitals for the wounded.
Published from 1785 to 1803 at least six theological books in Hebrew . He also owns original poems - elegy, odes, funeral songs - and translations from German into Hebrew (in particular, fables by G. E. Lessing ).
