The Turtles is an American pop-rock band formed in Westchester, California in 1963 and has performed melodic, multi-voiced pop songs with elements of folk rock and soft psychedelia . International fame The Turtles brought the hit "Happy Together", topping American lists in 1967 [1] . Seven albums of the group were included in the Billboard 200 , the greatest success was the collection The Turtles! Golden Hits (# 7, 1968) [2] .

After the collapse of The Turtles in 1970, two band members, Howard Cailan and Mark Wolman, joined the reanimated squad of The Mothers of Invention . Subsequently, this duet was recorded as Flo & Eddie [3] .
