Chavash Warmane

It was formed on June 20, 1993 by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 588 “On the Formation of the Chavash Varmane National Park of the Federal Forestry Service of Russia”.

In 2011, he was awarded the diploma of the winner of the contest “Seven Wonders of Chuvashia” in the nomination “Miracle of Nature”. ^[one]

• Total area - 25,200 hectares
• Length from north to south - 24 km
• The length from west to east is 17 km

The Abamza River flows through the park .

• Forests occupy 95% of the territory (the share of pine stands is 45.3%, birch - 27.1%, aspen - 14.6%, linden - 7.4%, alder - 2.4%, spruce - 1.4%, oak - 1.6%, cedar, ash, maple and willow - 0.2%).
• About 800 plant species grow, 57 plant species are listed in the Red Book of the Chuvash Republic.
• 44 species of mammals live.
• 184 species of birds live.
• There are 6 species of reptiles.
• 11 species of amphibians inhabit.
• 19 species of fish live.
