Cleopatra III ( Greek: Κλεοπάτρα ) - Egyptian queen, daughter of Ptolemy VI and Cleopatra II .

In 142 BC e. Fiscon married Cleopatra III and declared her his co-ruler. in 131 BC e. Cleopatra II rebelled and drove Ptolemy VIII Fiscon and Cleopatra III out of Egypt. After that, she proclaimed her 12-year-old son Ptolemy Memphitis king and her nominal co-ruler. However, Ptolemy VIII Fiscon managed to capture his son, kill him and send parts of his body to Cleopatra. She had to remain the only ruler. After that, she offered the Egyptian crown to Demetrius II of Syria , but he was also killed by Fiscon and she had to flee to Syria. Public reconciliation with Ptolemy VIII Fiscon and Cleopatra III occurred in 124 BC. e. After that, she ruled together with her brother and daughter until 116 BC. e., when Ptolemy VIII Fiscon died and bequeathed the throne to Cleopatra III and one of her sons of her choice.
He ruled Egypt, having in co-rulers alternately one of his sons Ptolemy IX Lafur or Ptolemy X Alexander I. The second son was sent at this time by the governor of Cyprus.
Killed by Ptolemy X Alexander I about the date of September 16, 101 BC. e. when her name was last mentioned in extant papyrus [1] .
