History
The Evol group was formed in early 1993 in the Italian city of Padova . At that time, the only member of the group was Prince of Agony, who created the concept and ideology of the group, he is the author of almost all music and lyrics. Soon, two more members of the Lord of Sorrow (guitar and flute) and Princess of Disease join the band.
Evol is recording two demos and is starting to record their debut album, The Saga of the Horned King , which was released on Adipocere Records in early 1995. In music, one can note a large number of keyboards and samples making atmospheric music. The next album was released on the same label and was designed in approximately the same style. Album texts are largely based on the work of Lovecraft .
The next release was the mini-album "Ancient Abbey", which was released on February 17, 1998 and contained the Claudio Simonetti carpet "Phenomena".
Portraits was recorded with the same composition, and his lyrics were based on science fiction stories written by Giordano himself. There was even an idea to release stories along with the disc, but Adipocere Records could not do this.
Giordano is also involved in the De Monarchia project, which also involves Meister Zeno from Ensoph . In the future, it is planned to release a double concert album “De Bello Gallico”, most of the songs for which were recorded at 1998 French concerts.
