Biography
Vladimir Burliuk was born in Kharkov in 1886 in a large family.
He studied at the Voronezh art school. In 1911-1914 He studied at the Penza Art School.
V. Burliuk was a painter, graphic artist, book illustrator, poet. Participated in cubofuturistic exhibitions.
Exhibitor of numerous exhibitions of the society "Blue Rider" Munich (1911, 1912).
From 1907 to 1910 - a member of the group "Venos Stefanos", since 1910 - a member of the group "Gilea". Like his brother David, he worked on the problems of texture and color in painting. He was a member of the “ Jack of Diamonds ” association.
During the First World War in 1916, Vladimir Burliuk was mobilized into the army. He died in 1917 on the Thessaloniki front .
