Biography
Born in the mountains of Upper Svaneti . Grew up in a boarding school in Gagra .
Since 1934 in the service of the Navy of the USSR .
In 1938 he graduated from the Leningrad Naval College named after M.V. Frunze .
In 1940 - Higher scuba diving courses .
Since 1938 - navigator of the submarine Shch-207 “Killer Whale” of the Black Sea Fleet .
In June 1941, Senior Lieutenant Iosseliani - Senior Officer of the new submarine BSF Sch-216.
In June 1942 he was appointed commander of the M-111 submarine of the Baby type .
From November 1942 to December 1943, the M-111 carried out 11 military campaigns, torpedoed 12 ships, sank 2 vehicles and the enemy’s lighter (14,000 tons).
In April 1944 , Great Britain took command of the V-4 submarine (the former HMS Ursula (N59) built in 1937-1938) of the Northern Fleet .
October 20, 1944. B-4 destroyed the German anti-submarine ship UJ-1219.
In 1945-1947 he commanded the submarine C-17 .
He served in the Navy of the USSR until 1966 .
He was awarded the Order of Lenin , 4 orders of the Red Banner , orders of Nakhimov II degree, World War I degree, Red Star , medals.
He was buried in the Pantheon of public figures in Saburtalo ( Tbilisi ).
