Warren Miller was born on October 15, 1924 in Hollywood , California . While still a schoolboy, Miller was fond of surfing, skiing and photography. He bought his first 8 mm camera for a premium, after being demobilized from the navy. The first films were shown to friends who did not miss the opportunity to laugh at Miller's creations, but very soon his hobby turned into a business. Since 1948, Warren taught skiing in Idaho, where he began his career as a director. In 1949, he founded Warren Miller Entertainment, a film company and established a strong tradition of releasing a full-length ski movie every year. By 1983, the total number of films made by Warren Miller exceeded 500.

Miller personally dealt with all aspects of making films from beginning to end. He edited, selected musical accompaniment, wrote scripts, monitored advertising and distribution. The director has always commented on his films. Even after the sale of Warren Miller Entertainment, he carefully monitors all products manufactured under his name, which has become a world famous brand.

Warren Miller produced dozens, hundreds of films. These are documentaries and feature films about people involved in extreme sports that make you forget about reality.
