2001-2005
Debuted in February 2001 .
In June 2004, Lacy met with a Ukrainian Vitaly Tsypko in an eliminator. In the 1st round, a head-on collision occurred, and a large dissection formed on Tsypko's forehead. The fight was stopped without a result announcement. [1] [2] [3]
In October 2004, Jeff Lacy knocked out Sid Vanderpool in a vacant fight for the IBF title in 2nd middleweight. [4] [5] [6]

In August 2005, Jeff Lacy entered the ring against former WBC middleweight champion Briton Robin Reed . In the middle of the 5th round, Reid made a head movement to Lacey's head. The referee has suspended the bout. And immediately Lacey put the right hook into Reed's jaw. The Briton has fallen. The referee suddenly began to count the knockdown, which was the 1st in the career of the Briton. The dissatisfied Reed got into the account 7. The referee immediately took a point from him for a header. Showtime TV commentator Steve Albert called this knockdown a “very controversy knockdown”. Lacy tried to build on the success, but Reed grunted. A few seconds before the end of the round, Lacy made a multi-hit combination of body punches and uppercuts, after which the Briton knelt down. In March 2006, a super middleweight title fight took place between the long-running undefeated WBO world champion Joe Calzaghe and the undefeated IBF world champion Jeff Lacy. Both opponents took the attacking version of the battle. The more technical Calzaghe confidently smashed the enemy - he attacked him non-stop, and unlike Lacy, a significant part of his attacks fell on the target. In the 11th round, the referee took a point from Calzaghe for a blow after the “break” team. In the 12th round, Calzaghe carried out an attack attack. In November 2008 , a qualifying battle for the WBC 2nd world middleweight title was held between Jeff Lacy and Germain Taylor . Taylor dominated all components: he was faster and significantly more accurate than attacks. At the beginning of the 5th round, Lacy made a right hook to the opponent's head. Taylor fell to the canvas, but immediately rose. The referee did not consider this a knockdown. HBO commentators were surprised at this decision. Lacy tried to finish off the enemy, but Taylor entered the clinch with every attack. As a result of the duel, all the judges with a crushing score gave the victory to Germain Taylor.

Lacy started the fight actively, pressing and pinching Jones at the ropes of the ring, but Roy skillfully avoided the blows and blocked the majority.
