The ancestor of the clan was Artyom Tereshchenko ( 1794 - 1873 ), who became rich during the Crimean War on the supply of bread and ship timber , then turned to sugar and other industries. His great-grandson, Mikhail Ivanovich, was Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Provisional Government of Russia in 1917.

Emblem Description

In a blue shield, a vertically golden torn off lion paw holds three silver ears with leaves. On the sides by the Byzantine gold coin .

Above the shield, a noble crowned helmet. Crest - a golden lion's paw holds three silver ears with leaves. Bait blue with gold. Shield holders - two lions. The first is crossed by gold and blue, the second is blue and gold. Both with red eyes and tongue. Motto: "The pursuit of public good" gold in blue. The coat of arms of Tereshchenko is included in Part 14 of the Collection of Diploma-Coats of Arms of the Russian Nobility Not Included in the Common Herbovnik, p. 19.
