Tricrat forest

Trakratsky forest is the general name of state protected areas located in the Voznesensky district of the Nikolaev region of Ukraine near the village of Tricrata . It includes the tracts "Vasiliev Apiary" and "Labyrinth". The Arbuzinka River flows through the Tricrat forest. The area of the reserve is 247 hectares.

Trekratsky forest was planted in the first half of the 19th century by Count V.P. Skarzhinsky not far from his estate. Initially, the territory of the forest was a park, with a large number of paths and bridges thrown over the branches of the river, for which it received the name "Labyrinth". In the center of the forest is a lake that is popular with fishermen.

The greatest value of the Trikratsky forest is the old 120-200-year-old oaks, of which there are more than 350. Mironov Sad is also noteworthy - the only place in the Nikolaev region where colonies of gray herons are located .

Close to the Tricrat forest is Aktovsky canyon .
