Karol Mayevsky, Karl Ósipovich Mayevsky ( Polish. Karol Konstanty Majewski ; March 17, 1833 - September 28, 1897 ) - one of the leaders of the 1863 Polish uprising .

Biography

In 1852 he completed a course at the Agronomy Institute in Marimont near Warsaw with the degree of agronomist and forester; since 1859 - student of the Warsaw Medical-Surgical Academy, since 1863 - Medical Faculty of the Warsaw Main School . The creator of the "academic committee", a supporter of the " white " party.

During the uprising of 1863, he became part of the provisional national government (the people's donation).

He was arrested in March 1864 , exiled to the Voronezh province , again demanded in Warsaw in 1865 to testify, and then exiled to the Vyatka province . In 1867 , Mayevsky was allowed to move to the Tambov province . In 1871 he returned to his homeland.
