GMS (also known as Growling Mad Scientists ) is a Dutch psychedelic trance -style musical band that has achieved significant popularity from the early 1990s to the present ( 2007 ). The trio has gathered a large number of fans around the world.

Group History
The project was formed by three musicians: Sajahan Matkin (better known as Riktam ), Joe Quinteros (better known as Bansy ) and Sebastian Claro (who soon left the project). GMS was created in the city of Amsterdam , located in the northern part of the Netherlands in 1995 . Back then, Riktam and Bansy were already famous trance DJs and were invited to play at parties around the world almost every weekend. After sitting in the studios with friends and getting to know them, they decided to create their own studio and began to purchase equipment. This allowed them to start writing music themselves. They already knew how to play some instruments, so it was not so difficult for them. Moreover, this was combined with their good abilities in this area.
In 1997, GMS moved their studio from Amsterdam to Ibiza , one of Europe ’s most popular club venues. There were a huge number of parties where they could play their latest tracks, and at the same time check their quality.
In 2000, GMS opened their own Spun Records label , and it became the first psychedelic trance label on Ibiza . With the first two releases: “GMS Vs Systembusters” and “Genetic Process”, the Spun label has established itself on stage as a label releasing exceptionally high-quality and exclusive releases .
Musicians
Sajahan Matkin was born in 1976 in Amsterdam . He met his accomplice Bansi in a coffee shop when he was only 14 years old. When he was 15, he left school and went to travel to India , Goa , to attend trance parties there. After returning to Amsterdam in 1995 from another trip to India , he and Bansi began to write music himself. Now he lives on Ibiza .
Bansi Quinteros was born in Barcelona in 1976 . He played drums for 6 years, starting at 11 years old. He also played the guitar since his father was a musician . At the age of 14, he met Riktam, and after a joint trip to Goa, they created the GMS group. Kinteros passed away on June 19, 2018, after a long struggle with a rare blood cancer disease.
