Garkusha, Alexey Nikolaevich

Aleksei Nikolayevich Garkusha ( Ukrainian: Oleksiy Mikolayovich Garkusha ) - Ukrainian politician , governor of the Nikolaev region from 1999 to 2005 and from 2007 to 2010 , People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 3rd convocation [1] . He heads the Nikolaev regional organization of the People’s Party [1] .

Biography

He was born on February 16, 1952 in the village of Balovnoye, New Odessa Region, Nikolaev Region . [one]

After graduation, he worked as a mechanic at the Shipyard named after 61 Communards in Nikolaev . [one]

After graduating from the Faculty of Economic Cybernetics of the Odessa Agricultural Institute in 1975, he became the chief economist of the “Communist Lights” collective farm in the village of Khristoforovka, Bashtansky District , and was the head of several agricultural enterprises in the Zhovtnevy District . [one]

From 1991 to 1995, he headed the Zhovtnevoy District State Administration. [one]

In 1993 he graduated from Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University with a degree in political science. [one]

From 1996 to 1998, he held the post of first deputy head of the Nikolaev regional state administration. [one]

From 1998 to 2000 - Member of the 3rd convocation (at that time - a member of the Agrarian Party of Ukraine ). [one]

From 1999 to 2005, he headed the Nikolaev Regional State Administration. [1] After the resignation, he worked at the University of Ukraine. [one]

On July 10, 2007, by decree of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, he was appointed acting head [2] , and on October 16 - the head of the Nikolaev regional state administration. [1], [3]

In the parliamentary elections in September 2007, he ended up in the runway of the Lytvyn Bloc list, but preferred to remain in the position of governor. [one]

March 18, 2010 by decree of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych relieved of the post of chairman of the Nikolaev regional state administration. [four]
