Biography

  • 1791 - Recorded by the Wahmistra in the Horse Life Guards Regiment .
  • June 1796 - Entered into active service as a private cavalry guard .
  • November 1797 - Upon the abolition of the cavalry guards, he returned to the Horse Guards.
  • July 10, 1799 - Cornet .
  • August 12, 1807 - Colonel .
  • May 6, 1811 - February 6-6, 1813 - Acting Commander of the Life Guards of the Horse Regiment .
  • 1812 - Participated in the Patriotic War, in the battles of Vitebsk, Smolensk. He distinguished himself at Borodino , where he was heavily shell-shocked in his left shoulder. For courage shown on November 21, he was awarded the Order of St. George IV Class No. 1088

  • December 26, 1812 - Major General .
  • February 6, 1813 - Commander of the Life Guards of the Horse Regiment and (from October 4) the head of the 1st Brigade of the 1st Cuirassier Division.
  • 1813-1814 - Participated in foreign campaigns of the Russian army. He distinguished himself in the battles of Kulm (awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the III degree) and Fer-Champenoise (the brigade repelled 12 enemy guns). He was awarded the orders of St. Anne I degree, Austrian Leopold II degree, Prussian Red Eagle II degree and Bavarian Maximilian Joseph III degree.
  • 1816 - Awarded the insignia of the Prussian Military Order of the Iron Cross (the so-called Kulm Cross).
  • January 16, 1819 - Appointed commander of the 1st Dragoon Division.
  • October 23, 1823 - He was relieved of his post and "consisted of cavalry for the disease." He was a member of the committee for the development of cavalry regulations. He dealt with issues of supply and interaction with civil authorities.
  • The end of 1830 - "The trustee for the adoption of preliminary measures for cholera in the Tula district."
  • December 30, 1833 - Retired with a uniform and full pension.
  • He died of pneumonia in his Tula estate.

Wife - Ekaterina Semenovna Gorlenko (1784-01.04.1855), the marriage was childless and unsuccessful, she lived separately from her husband in his estate Romanovschina of Chernihiv province. Died of pneumonia in Wiesbaden [2] , buried in Paris on Montmartre .
