Fox nikita

The poem-tale Lis Nikita was first published with illustrations by Theofil Kopistinsky ( Ukrainian: Kopistinsky Theofіl Dorofіyovich ) in 1890. The work consisted of 12 songs with a pronounced satirical character ^[1] .

In 2003, a pilot project was launched to create an animated series based on this tale. The Enlightenment Society became its official customer, money for the creation of the animated series - 10 million hryvnias - was allocated in 2005 under the government program by the Ministry of Culture ^[2] .

70 animators worked on the creation of the animated series, who in total drew about 450,000 drawings. When voicing, the text of Ivan Franko was left almost unchanged, while maintaining the original Boyk dialect. The result was 26 15-minute episodes ^[3] .

The music for the animated series was written by the famous composer Miroslav Skoryk . In addition, the works of other musicians were used for voicing - the choir from Karl Weber ’s opera “The Free Gunner”, singing without the words of the Piccardi Tercy , the song of Ivan Popovich (“And see the house of a nickname”), Maria Shalaikevich ( Ukrainian Mariya Vasilievna Shalaikevich ) (“Use my love”), Mad Heads XL (“Dopeys sonsya, leave the water flowing, nadiya є!”), The Gadiukin Brothers (“Oh, famously”), Okean Elzi (“Ti, I”), Vopli Vidoplyasova , Grinjola and others ^{[1] [3]} .

The premiere of the animated series was held on June 15, 2007 at the Kinopalats cinema.

The cartoon hit the TV screen in 2009 ^[3] .

In 2017, the television series was freely available on the official YouTube channel of Malyatko TV . Cartoon Fox Mikita was broadcast not only in Ukraine, but also in Latvia, Hungary and Turkey.
