Filshtein, Mikhail Yakovlevich

Mikhail Yakovlevich Filshtein (born December 3, 1930 , Chisinau , Bessarabia ) - Russian poet, translator, editor. The author of 14 collections of poems and translations from the Moldavian language , the literary editor of the journal "Nature" [1] .

He graduated from Chisinau State Pedagogical Institute. Iona Creanga in 1953 , worked in the editorial office of the newspaper "Youth of Moldova." The first poetry collection Entry was released in 1965 . He worked on the radio, in the publishing house "Book", together with E. I. Osetrov edited the " Almanac of the bibliophile ." He translated into Russian the modern Moldavian poets, including Ion Vieru, Anatol Guzhel , Ion Watamanu and others.

Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR (1971) and the Union of Writers of Moscow [2] . He lives in Moscow .
