Geography
Located in the central part of Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow region, about 13 km south of the city of Solnechnogorsk , on the bank of the Radomli River flowing into the Klyazma [2] .
History
In the "List of populated places" of 1862, Bogorodskoe (Povarovo, Ivanovo) is the owner's village of the 1st camp of Zvenigorod district of the Moscow province on the right side of the road from Voskresensk to Klin , 40 versts from the county town, with the Bezymyanka river and a well, with 61 courtyards , Orthodox Church and 530 inhabitants (250 men, 280 women) [3] .
According to the data for 1890, it was a part of the Pyatnitskaya volost of Zvenigorod district, there was a primary school, the number of souls was 496 people [4] .
In 1913, there were 85 courtyards, a post office, a district school, a country house of poor houses, a state-owned wine shop, and two taverns [5] .
According to the materials of the All-Union census of 1926 - the center of the Povarovsky village council of the Bednyakovsky volost of the Moscow uyezd of the Moscow province, 683 inhabitants lived (320 men, 363 women), there were 166 farms, among which 166 were peasant, there was a school [6] .
Since 1929 - a settlement in the Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow district of the Moscow region. By the decree of the CEC and the Council of People's Commissars of July 23, 1930, the districts as administrative-territorial units were liquidated.
1929-1959 - Center Povarovsky Village Council Solnechnogorsk district.
1959-1960 - the center of the Povarovsky Village Council of the Khimki District .
08/18/1960–30/09/1960 - the center of the Povarovsky Village Council of the Solnechnogorsk district.
By the decision of the Moscow Regional Executive Committee No. 1197 of September 30, 1960, Povarovo was transformed into a holiday village.
1963-1965 - administratively subordinate to the city of Solnechnogorsk [7] .
2006-2019 - The administrative center of the urban settlement Povarovo Solnechnogorsk municipal district of Moscow region [8] .

Economy
In the village there are the machine-building enterprise “Mechatronic Products Plant”, Solnechnogorsky timber processing plant, and an experienced forestry enterprise. In the vicinity - 98 gardening partnerships, due to which the population in the summer period increases to 35 thousand people.
Infrastructure
A polyclinic, an ambulance station, a post office, a branch of Sberbank are located on the territory of the village.

Sports
The autonomous institution “Center for work with youth, development of sports and physical culture“ Povarovo-Sport-Plus ”” actively participates in the sports life of the village. In the village there is a football stadium named after honored coach and master of sports Sergei Ivanovich Tikhomirov. In 2012, the Povarovo football club took part in the Russian championship among the teams of the third division in the Moscow Region zone, taking first place in Group B [27] and leaving the Russian Cup at the 1/16 final stage, losing on his field near Moscow " Istra " with a score of 2: 4 [28] .

The village is connected by direct bus service to Solnechnogorsk [30] and Zelenograd [31] . There is no internal bus service. There are several private taxis.
Rail Transport
Within the boundaries of the village are located the station Povarovo-1 with the platform of the same name and the platform Povarovka , as well as the platform 142 km . Station Povarovo-1 with both its platforms is located on the Leningrad direction (the main course of the October Railway) . The platform is 142 km away and is located on the Big Ring of the Moscow Railway .
