Geographical position
The 11th arrondissement is located on the right bank of the Seine . In the east, it borders on the 20th , in the west on the 10th and 3rd , in the north on the 19th and in the south on the 12th districts.

Population
According to the 2005 census , 150,500 people live in the 11th district with a population density of 41,008 people / km². This represents 7% of the Parisian population. Thus, the 11th arrondissement is the most populous district in Paris and, in addition, one of the most densely populated areas in the world.

Governing Bodies
Since 2001, the mayor of the district has been Georges Sarre, representative of the Mouvement républicain et citoyen party. In March 2008, the socialist Patrick Bloch was elected. Since April 2014, the mayor is another representative of the Socialist Party - François Vauglin ( fr. François Vauglin ) [1] .
