Shoptykol ( Kazakh. Shөptіkөl ) is a village in the Bayanaul district of Pavlodar region , the center of the village district of the same name. It is located 60 km north of Bayanaul and 160 km northwest of Pavlodar . The nearest railway station, Ushkulun, is 48 km away. 5 km from the village passes the highway Pavlodar-Bayanaul.

Content
History
Since 1932, a coal mining center as part of the Maykubensky deposit. In 2012, transformed into a village [1] .
It is named on the kaz lake . Shptikul - “grassy (meadow) lake”.
Population
In 1999, the rural population was 982 people (475 men and 507 women) [2] . According to the 2009 census , 187 people lived in the village (96 men and 91 women) [2] .
