Career

As a football player, Mirko Slomka spent most of his time in the clubs of the third division, only at the end of his career hitting Hannover 96, where he played until 1991.

In 1998, Mirko began coaching the youth squad of the Hannover 96 team, and in 1999 he moved to the Berlin Tennis Borussia team. In 2001, Slomka became an assistant to the head coach of Hannover 96, three years later he took a similar position in Schalke 04. On January 10, 2010 Mirko Slomka signed an agreement with the Hannover 96 club, becoming the head coach of the Bundesliga representative. At the end of 2013, the mentor was fired. In February 2014, Slomka was appointed Hamburg coach. On February 17, 2014 he was appointed head coach of Hamburg . The contract was signed until June 30, 2016 [1] . Replaced the Dutchman Bert van Marwijk at this post [2] . September 15, 2014 Slomka was fired.
